Marrakesh Express

I was thrilled when Iris, of Artyarns, asked me to design for her November Inspirations Club. Every other month, limited edition colors are introduced in Merino Cloud and Beaded Silk & Sequins Light.

Each bi-monthly installment comes with exclusive patterns designed to bring out the yarn colors. Once a color sells out it’s retired and will never be repeated. This month’s color-way is called Earth Tones. This month my pattern would be one of the exclusive patterns!

From the moment I opened the package of yarn, I was captivated. The colors just leap out of the skeins. I poured over stitch dictionaries for stitch patterns that would bring out the best of the colors.

Marrakesh Express is bright, bold, and drenched in color. The scarf is knit in blocks of different stitch patterns that alternate using both the variegated/solid, solid only, or variegated only. The pattern blocks are divided by garter sections of the Beaded Silk & Sequins Light.

The pattern is great for adventurous advanced beginners and up. The stitch patterns are easy to follow and yield beautiful results. I’ve cast on for another scarf for myself. Follow me on Instagram to see! It’s in a different color-way and sheds a completely different light on the pattern.

Just Keep Knitting!
